You can explore and play minigames without an creating an account by hitting "Quick Play," but creating an account lets you choose your own username, save progress, earn rewards, and access more features.
Click on "Play Now!" on the homapge and then click on "Create" to begin. Follow the steps to create your avatar, choose a username and password, and get parent approval if needed. We also collect an email address in case you need to reset your password or contact support for help.
Yes, as long as you're logged into the same account, your progress syncs across devices.
A Quick Play account lets you try the game with some features disabled, but if you log out or change computers you will lose your progress, items, and candy.
Progress is saved automatically when you play with a created account.
Click 'Forgot Password' on the login screen and follow the steps to reset via your parent’s email address.

If your account got banned, you sent several message that didn't follow our community rules. After several warnings, mutes, and timeouts, an account can be banned from the game. If this happens, you need to contact Customer Support to discuss having the account reactivated.
GAMEPLAY
On a computer, there are two ways to move your player around the island: the arrow keys or WASD. Use W or the up arrow to move forward, A or the left arrow to move left, S or the down arrow to move backwards, and D or the right arrow to move right.
On a phone or a tablet, you can move around by dragging the blue circle on the left side of the screen in the direction you want to go.
Press the spacebar to jump on computer, or the jump button in the bottom right of the screen on a phone or tablet (psst.. try pressing it two or three times in a row!)
Find the "Oh My Cod" shop on the left side of the beach. Walk up to the door and press "F" to enter. Walk up to Intern Flinch at the desk, and press "F" to chat with him. He'll sell you a fishing rod (and you can come back to sell him all your awesome catches! And even Seashells you pick up on the beach).
You can earn candy in tons of ways just playing and having fun around the island! Pickup seashells, sell the fish you catch to Intern Flinch, play games like Drop 4 and Prop Hunt Tag, or compete in the hilarious food-themed obstacle course "Sandwich Siege." Tons more fun ways to play and earn candy are coming soon!
Candy is the virtual currency (money) of Imagine Island. You can use it to buy awesome items for your character like costumes, fishing rods, and accessories.
Well first you need to buy a fishing rod! Find the "Oh My Cod" shop on the left side of the beach and enter it by walking up to the door and pressing "F." Once inside, walk up to Intern Flinch at the desk and press "F" to chat with him and buy a fishing rod. Open your Inventory by pressing "I" and select the rod you want to hold. Find an active spot in the water marked by ripples, bubbles, a golden glow, or a green glow. Aim at it and press "E" to cast the rod. When the mini game pops up, press "E" when the fish slider overlaps the "E". The rarer the fish, the harder the game is (and the more candy you get!)
Walk up to the door, and if you can open it, pressing "F" will let you enter. Some doors aren't quite open yet around the island. But they will be soon...
Walk up to the character and press "F" to interact with them.
Walk over a seashell and press "F" to scoop it up and add it to your inventory.
Visit the "Fit Shop" in the Town Center by walking up to the door and pressing "F" to enter. Inside, walk up to the counter and press "F" to open the latest catalog of awesome clothing. Browse through the tabs and categories to see all the fun items available for purchase (using candy of course!)
If Safe Chat is enabled on your account, you can press "Enter" or click the chat textbox at the bottom of your screen to open the chat window. Type your message and press "Enter" again to send it. Then click anywhere off the chat window to close it.
Please note that only messages that are safe, appropriate, and that follow our community rules will be seen by other players. Saying mean or inappropriate things in the game can get your account muted or put on a timeout. So be kind and speak nicely!
Press "B" or click the smiley face icon to the right of the chat text box to open your emote wheel. Click on the emote you want to send, or use the arrow keys to navigate to the emote and hit "Enter." The emote will pop up above your head and your avatar might also do a fun animation!
Press "B" or click the smiley face icon to the right of the chat text box to open your emote wheel. Click on the music notes emote or use the arrow keys to navigate to it and hit "Enter." Your avatar will start busting a move!
Find the fork in the road to the left of the Town Center. Just behind it is a sign where players can join a game of tag! Enter the dotted circle and press F to join the game, and stay there to wait for the round to start when the timer gets to zero.
If you're a hider, you'll turn into a random object (like a tree, a trash can, or a beach chair). Seekers will have their screen blocked for a few more seconds to let you run and hide! Don't let any of the seekers tag you! If they run into you, you're caught, and you turn back into your avatar. Now you're a seeker, so go help find all the remaining hiders!
If you're a seeker, you stay as your avatar, and after the hiders get a few seconds to run and hide, your screen will clear up and it's time to play! Search high and low for random objects that might be a hiding player. Just run into them with your avatar and if it's a hider they will pop back to their avatar, showing they're caught! Try and find them all before the timer runs out.
Follow the yellow carpet from the Town Center through the gate with the big "Sandwich Siege" sign. There you can learn how the game works, and when you're ready to race, just jumpon the blue and yellow square under the "Entrance" sign and LAUNCH into the game! Wait for the timer and then GO!
First, you'll want to hit the island button in the top left corner of your screen. If the building menu doesn't open automatically, you'll want to hit the blueprint button in the bottom left of your screen (or hit "Z" if you're on a computer). Then, if you're playing on a computer:
- Click the icons on the very left of your screen to open different item categories. The tree section has outdoor plants and furniture, the dresser section has indoor furniture, and the stocking has Christmas items
- To place items, click the item in the menu, then click on wherever you want to put it on the ground. A blue outline will show you where you're placing it!
- To delete an item, hover over it with your cursor and hit the middle button on your mouse
- To delete everything you've built, hit the trash can icon and tap "Get rid of it!"
If you're playing on mobile:
- Tap the icons on the very left of your screen to open different item categories. The tree section has outdoor plants and furniture, the dresser section has indoor furniture, and the stocking has Christmas items
- To move your camera, drag in the direction you want to look on the right side of your screen
- To place down an object, tap it in the menu, then tap where you want it to go on the ground, then hit the down arrow icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. A blue outline will show you where you're placing it!
- To delete everything you've built, hit the trash can icon and tap "Get rid of it!"
To make your house private or friends-only, hit the icon showing a house with a lock in front of it, then hit whichever option you want!
To exit your island, hit the island button in the top left corner of your screen.
To open your sticker book, hit the star icon in the bottom left corner of your screen, or hit "K" if you're on a computer. You can look between the different pages by hitting the arrow icons at the bottom of the book.
To play the pizza-making minigame, go into the pizza shop in the town square and enter the curtains behind the counter. Press "F" to start the minigame!
To play, hold down on the joystick (hold down left click on computer) and move your mouse/finger around until you see a glowing spot over the ingredient you want. Then, hit the 'GRAB' button and the claw will automatically collect the ingredient -- unless you missed, of course!
To exit the Pizza Matic minigame early, tap the gear icon in the top right of your screen or press "P" on your keyboard. Then, hit 'LEAVE.'

We use a combination of smart filters and real people to keep chat safe. Our system checks every message before it appears to players to make sure it's appropriate, kind, and safe for kids. If something doesn’t seem right, it gets blocked or reviewed by a trained moderator. This helps ensure kids have a safe space to chat, express themselves, and have fun.
No. Players can only say messages that everyone in the area can see. We believe that if you can't say it in front of everyone, you shouldn't say it at all.
Parents can manage their child's account settings, including chat permissions, through the k-ID portal.
